KOREAN RECIPE: DUBU-JORIM

3/31/2016

Hey loves! Lately I've really been into Korean cuisine because of the Maangchi - my new favourite foodtuber. She's so sweet and her recipes are so uber yummy! Today I tried one of them, called Dubu-Jorim which is spicy braised tofu. For me tofu is the "new" cheese, because I'm lovin it more than the usual cheese. And I wanted so much to try this recipe, now that I'm a huge fan of spicy food.Ok,then let's go!

You will need:
1 package of tofu
A half of onion
1 clove garlic
Green onion chopped

For the sauce:
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of hot pepper flakes (I used simple red pepper instead)
A half cup of water

Set tofu onto the pan and cook it for 7 minutes on each side in olive/grape/sunflower oil, till becomes crunchy and caramelized.Transfer the tofu in a plate. Now add in a bowl all the ingredients for the sauce and mix well.Cook in the same pan the onion and garlic, then add the sauce and the fried tofu.Mix two minutes and you're done! Garnish the tofu with chopped green onion and sesame seeds.
It's very tasty and I specially recommnd this to spicy lovers! Plus it's vegan. It's a side dish because it's a bit salty,so I served with some pasta.Bon apetite!

Speak to you soon! xx
